This Saturday, April 18, the COVID-19 affects 1, confirmed cases and surpassed the mark of 150,000 death, which have been reported worldwide.

As the Coronavirus epidemic spreads worldwide and the number of people infected continues to increase, a « plateau » is noted in the curves of COVID-19, infections, and death related to the Coronavirus, in response to the confinement. Besides, The technical lead of WHO´s Health Emergencies Programme, Maria Van Kerkhove, noted that China had updated their numbers, adding “an additional 325 cases and 1,290 deaths from Wuhan. The USA crosses the bar of 700,000 cases identified, more than 36,000 dead including 3,778 just in New York. The country, which has been the most affected by the epidemic in the world since the end of March, now has 700,282 cases of COVID-19 contamination and 36,773 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University. According to the latest assessment, Italy, reports 23,000 people dead due to COVID-19, although the number of death is slowing for the 6th days in a row. (Updated on April 18 at 9:35 pm) These figures do not take into account deaths from COVID-19, at home, or those of disabled people who died in specialized facilities. We apologize for having published figures since the start of the epidemic, without seeing any mention of these fatalities, as they are unavailable from French health authorities.
WORLDWIDE UPDATES OVER COVID-19 OUTBREAK
Spain has indicated that the confinement has been extended to May 9. Algeria, which has reported 2,418 people infected with the disease and 364 deaths at this stage, extends the confinement by 10 days, which now runs until April 29.
In Morocco, where the number of confirmed cases is 2,685 and the number of deaths is 137, the confinement put in place on March 20 will last until May 20. Since May 7, wearing a protective mask is mandatory in Morocco for anyone authorized to leave their home during the coronavirus epidemic. Italy (23,227) and Spain (20,043) are the most affected countries in Europe, followed by France (19,323) and the United Kingdom (15,464). Worldwide, at least 2,281,334 cases of COVID-19 have been identified, which however only reflects a fraction of the actual number of infections, with a large number of countries testing only serious cases.
IN NURSING HOMES & MEDICO-SOCIAL FACILITIES 7,481 ELDERLY PEOPLE DIED OVER COVID-19--------------
Of this total in 24 hours, 364 deaths were observed in hospitals and 278 in nursing homes and other medico-social establishments. Since the start of the epidemic, 19,323 people have died, including 11,842 in hospitals and 7,481 in social and medico-social facilities. 5,833 people are currently in intensive care, a figure that continues to fall. If 206 new patients have been admitted to the intensive care unit for the past 24 hours, this balance remains negative for the tenth consecutive day (-194).
FOR THE 4RD DAY IN A ROW OF SLOWING NY,NER OF HOPISTALISATIONS OVER COVID-19 OUTBREAK
According to the last release of the general direction of health this Saturday, 364 people died in the hospital during the past day. It is the fourth consecutive day of decline in hospitalizations in France, over the COVID-19 outbreak.
